Course Outline & Structure
Our course Mindful Relaxation – Discover your Inner Calm consists of nine audio modules delivering almost seven hours of a step-by-step guidance to deeper muscle relaxation, better body awareness and more focus of the mind. Additionally, we have elaborated a Stress Level Evaluation for you to bring your attention to your “stress” – relaxation – balance.
The first module introduces you to Mindful Relaxation and the history of autogenic training/concentrated self-hypnosis. Learn about (dis-)stress, what causes you to feel stressed and how to successfully manage and reduce stress. We explore the function of the (autonomous) nervous system and its two antagonist parts. Discover what you can do to re-balance your sympathetic part of the nervous system that speeds things up with the parasympathetic, restorative part that slows things down. The first module also includes complementary support for your wellbeing and serenity as well as tips for your preparation and precautions prior to the practical modules.
Following Module 1 you can fill in the Stress Level Evaluation in your personal Vitawell account. This can be repeated after the course to track your progress in self-induced, mindful relaxation.
Modules 2 to 6 practically teach you Mindful Relaxation as a tool to effectively stimulate the restorative part of the (autonomous) nervous system for stress release, better sleep and blissful relaxation. Each module provides step-by-step guidance to Mindful Relaxation and is complemented by imaginary healing journeys and elements of Yoga Nidra.
In Module 7 the focus is on body awareness, affirmations to train the nervous system and on your individual resolution for the future.
Module 8 is an invitation to an imaginary healing journey.
The course is completed by Module 9 with conclusions and further support and advice for continuous relaxation and calmness in everyday life.
